*Job Description*
We are looking for a *LICENSED *Registered Technician *(Registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists)* who is highly motivated and enjoys working in a busy, dynamic team environment. The successful candidate may participate in several roles: automated compliance machine checking, batch fill checking, inventory management, nursing home liaison .
*Key responsibilities of a THP Registered Pharmacy Technician include:*
* *Checking retail prescriptions for dispensing accuracy* * *Checking blister packs and Unit-Dose Pouches for dispensing accuracy* * *Reviewing third party adjudications for proper pricing strategies* * Communicate regularly with patients/caregivers/nursing home staff via phone and e-mail and to relay required information to team members * Data entry of patient care information in Kroll * Accurate filling and checking of prescription medications * Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems, * Appropriate referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary * Preparing for Packaging of Synmed, PacMed, ScriptPro prepared blister packs, pouches and vials, and bulks. * Narcotic inventory management and double-checking * Preparing and checking compliance packages, MARs, etc. * Act as dedicated liaison for "homes" operators/staff/patients under your responsibility
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician an asset. Pharmacy Retail / Long-Term Care experience an asset. * Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation * Strong communication skills * Demonstrated customer service experience * Proficient computer/data/entry skills * Proficiency using Kroll software required. * Proficiency operating Synmed or PacMed machines an asset.
