Job Posting DetailsPosition: Publicist, TSN, CTV News, iHeartRadio Canada, Bell MediaLocation: 9 Channel Nine Court, Scarborough, (Ontario)Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experienceJob Status: Regular - Full TimeThe Publicist: TSN, CTV News, iHeartRadio Canada plans and executes day-to-day communications efforts across Bell Media's leading sports, news, and audio brands including TSN, TSN+, BarDown, CTV National News, BNN Bloomberg, CP24, iHeartRadio Canada platforms, and more.ResponsibilitiesWrite and edit media materials including press releases, stories for TheLede.ca, newsletters, bios, photo alerts, backgrounders, etc. for external and internal communications purposesAddress media requests, develop key messages, and pitch/coordinate media interviewsBuild and maintain relationships with various print, radio, and digital media through regular contact and pitchesBuild and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including partners and vendors, through regular contactManage consistent and ongoing social media strategy for @TSN_PRMonitor social media for a range of issues and feedbackAssist in the development of executive materials, including talking points, presentations, and reportsSupport issues management as requiredPlan and execute photo shoots and press junkets as requiredLead talent relations for TSN, CTV News, and iHeartRadio Canada personalities, including media interviews and profile building appearances as requiredSupport Bell Media's broader events and initiativesOther duties as requiredQualificationsCompletion of a university degree and/or public relations degree or equivalent with a minimum of three years' experience in the communications/sports/media/entertainment industry, preferredA strong multi-tasker, organized, and efficient, and is capable of working on multiple priority projects at onceSuperior written and verbal communications skillsEvidence of good working relationships with the mediaThe ability to liaise professionally with members of the media, partners, on-air personalities, producers and other internal and external contactsThe ability to take initiative and work well under pressureExceptional interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacyDetail oriented and able to meet deadlines, with strong ability to take initiative and prioritize projectsStrong administrative and organizational skillsAdequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
