Will be relocating to Sherwood Park, AB in the coming months
*The Role*
We have an immediate opening for a Shipper/Receiver reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. The successful candidate will execute all shipping and receiving activities in support of our fabrication shop operations.
*Responsibilities*
* Process inbound and outbound shipments including booking freight, completing BOLs and packing slips * Gather, package, and prepare parts orders for shipment to clients * Compose professional emails to clients with shipment details * Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips * Match and verify MTRs to ASME code and purchase requirements * Accurately enter received and consumed materials into the inventory management system * Distribute materials and supplies to designated fabrication areas * Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas * Operate forklift and other material handling equipment safely * Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation * Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities * Ensure safe handling of materials and a clean work environment * Other duties as assigned
*Skills and Qualifications*
* High School Diploma * Minimum 2 years shipping, receiving, and logistics experience (industrial environment preferred) * Forklift certification or willingness to obtain * Experience with inventory management systems * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Accurate data entry skills and computer proficiency * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English * Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract * Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly * Ability to manage workload in fast paced setting
