We are accepting applications for two experienced commercial drone pilots to join our St. John's, NL flight crews supporting offshore operations off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Working from vessels and offshore installations, successful applicants will conduct drone-based inspections and data acquisition in demanding marine environments. Applicants should be self-motivated, adept at problem-solving, thrive in diverse environments and be passionate about drone technology. Travel is an essential part of the position, both domestically and internationally, as AltoMaxx has a number of ongoing international projects. Experience with UgCS software and prior offshore or maritime experience are definite value adds to your application.Primary Position ResponsibilitiesConduct drone operations in the field, including from vessels and offshore installationsPerform the duties of a pilot, crew member, visual observer or payload operatorOperate a variety of drone models and sensor payloadsAcquire field data using established techniques and methodsMaintain, monitor and document preventative maintenance on field equipment and other assetsRequired Skills and QualificationsTransport Canada RPAS Pilot Advanced Operations License (Flight Review Rating a plus)Familiarity with drone flight planning software (DJI Pilot, Pix4D, UgCS, etc.)Post-processing experienceWillingness to travelConditions of EmploymentWilling and able to pass routine drug screening tests on a regular basisValid offshore safety certifications (BST, HUET, HUEBA, H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Arrest, etc.)Able to obtain and maintain a valid offshore medical certificateWilling to work offshore rotations and travel domestically and internationally; must have a valid passport and working visa if requiredHave a valid driver's licencePreferred ExperienceUgCS software experience and Advanced Operations CertificatePrior offshore, marine or oil and gas industry experienceExperience in geomatics, surveying, visual inspectionsPlease submit your cover letter and resume to [email protected].
