The employee is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for clients, families, co-workers, and themselves, and reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.Qualifications:? Graduation from high school or equivalency;? Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR);? Successful completion of Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVIC) or willingness tocomplete (within timeframe designated by the employer);? Successful completion of Mosby?s Suite Suicide Assessment and Precautions orwillingness to complete (within timeframe designated by the employer);? The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conductand Vulnerable Sector Check;Duties (include but not limited to):? Obtains reports on client?s behaviour and plan of care, specifically relating to safety andsecurity issues;? Observes and monitors the client?s behaviour related to safety and security, and reportsany changes or concerns;? Maintains visual observation of the client at all times, ensuring the client is never leftunattended;? Responds to client?s needs and requests in consultation with the assigned nurse;? Documents according to organizational policies and unit guidelines;? Maintains strict confidentiality on all matters related to the client;? Other related duties as required
