Green Thumb Supply Co. is seeking a lead mechanic responsible for the maintenance and repair of various makes and models of small equipment.
*The position will include the following duties:*
* Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with customers * Diagnose source and extent of problems with various types of small equipment * Perform routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs, air filters, etc. * Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts * Adjust components according to specifications * Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts * Clean, reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs * Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used * Read schematics in order to look up and order parts * Keep a safe, organized, and tidy work space
*Desired Experience*
* Completion of a recognized Mechanic Certification or 2+ years experience and/or STIHL certification * Kawasaki, Briggs and Stratton, and Husqvarna certification * Extensive experience working with small engines * Positive attitude with a willingness to lead young mechanics and set a good example * Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract * Good communication skills * Punctual and reliable * Experience and familiarity with Husqvarna chainsaws and their components is considered a major asset.
