About this role
*Overview*
We are looking for a passionate, community-minded Registered Kinesiologist committed to patient-focused care and in good standing with BCAK. We have flexible part/full-time availability, however, Saturdays are preferred.
We provide online booking/charting via Jane App and direct-bill to most third-party providers. Our patient demographics are predominantly highly motivated, private-paying patients with sport-related injuries. A valid business license with the District of North Vancouver is required for those working with ICBC customers. This is a great opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary clinic with a team of skilled and experienced clinicians. We offer several opportunities for community involvement as well as continuing education via weekly/monthly in-services, journal club with allying UBC Sport & Exercise Medicine, and biannual Whistler retreat.
*Duties:*
* Assess client conditions and provide appropriate treatment plans based on individual health concerns. * Maintain accurate records of client sessions, including treatment details and progress notes. * Ensure cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and equipment. * Educate clients on the benefits of kinesiology and recommend follow-up treatments as necessary. * Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to client feedback and adjusting techniques accordingly. * Collaborate with other wellness professionals to enhance overall client care.
*Skills:*
* Proficient in medical terminology to effectively communicate with clients and healthcare providers. * Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all clients. * Excellent communication abilities to clearly explain treatment options and address any concerns clients may have. * Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to kinesiology practices.
*Special Considerations:*
* This position is to replace an existing Kinesiologist who is leaving to pursue further post-graduate education. * Job is available to start in September 2025. * All of our kinesiologists are employees, with access to health/education benefits given the right circumstances (i.e. >25hrs work/week, etc.) * Active Rehabilitation with ICBC is mandatory. * Opportunities available to build programming with special demographics (i.e. GLA:D, sports teams, etc.)
