Horizon Health Network in beautiful New Brunswick is looking for aProgram Coordinator to join our team!The Saint John Area Cancer Support Program is seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-focused individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator, Cancer Support.Reporting to the Program Manager, Cancer Support, the Program Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery, coordination, and administration of programs and services that enhance the lives of individuals and families affected by cancer. You are comfortable balancing multiple priorities, coordinating activities and events, and providing exceptional service to participants and community partners.You have:Post-secondary education in healthcare, social services, community development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.One to four years of experience in program coordination, community services, event planning, or a related field.Experience working in healthcare, adult education, research, community support services, or a similar environment an asset. Experience in oncology or community-based supportive care considered an asset.Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and active listening abilities.The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Canva, and social media platforms.Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of programs and special events.Hold a valid drivers licenseWhat you will doAs the Program Coordinator, Cancer Support, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of meaningful programs and services for individuals and families impacted by cancer. You will assist with coordinating daily program operations, including scheduling, registrations, room bookings, participant communication, and maintaining program records. You will help ensure programs run smoothly by supporting evaluations, gathering participant feedback, assisting with quality improvement initiatives, and creating welcoming, safe, and organized spaces for all who access our services.You will be a key point of contact for participants, visitors, volunteers, and community partners, providing compassionate support and helping individuals connect with appropriate resources.
