Are you an experienced Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer looking to progress your career? We're looking for an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team. You're an ideal candidate if you have: A bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Civil) from a recognized university; a Master's or PhD is considered an asset. At least 5+ years of post?graduate geotechnical engineering experience, including design work for roads, bridges, dams, buildings, tunneling, and related infrastructure. Strong proficiency in industry?standard geotechnical software such as Slope/W, Seep/W, Sigma/W, Settle3D, FLAC, PLAXIS, or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, paired with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while delivering high?quality work on time and within budget. Experience conducting and interpreting intrusive and non?intrusive field investigations, including CPT, SPT and laboratory testing programs. Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada and eligibility for licensure with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). Motivation to provide exceptional client service and enthusiasm for collaborating within a multi?disciplinary team environment. Experience with MTO foundations investigations and design (considered an asset). A typical day on the job might look like: Coordinating and managing geotechnical programs, including planning and executing field investigations, completing geotechnical analyses and designs, and preparing reports for highways, roads, bridges, buildings, municipal infrastructure, and land development projects. Completing geotechnical analyses (i.e., slope stability assessment, settlement of soft soils, lateral earth pressures, pile capacities, seismic response, etc.) Completing geotechnical design for shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, roadway embankments, railways, excavation support systems, tunnels, trenchless installations, staged embankment construction and ground improvement techniques. Collaborating closely with other GEMTEC offices on larger or multi?disciplinary assignments to deliver integrated project solutions. Performing project management tasks such as preparing proposals, estimating budgets, developing schedules, managing scope, preparing project summary reports, and maintaining quality throughout the project lifecycle. Mentoring junior staff, providing technical guidance, and supporting their professional growth. Promoting a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
