About this role

Our Residential Subdivision, Shallow Utilities team is currently looking to add a Gas Fuser, based in Edmonton, AB.Reporting to the Site Foreman / Superintendent, we are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Gas Fuser with hands-on experience in natural gas pipeline installation. This position executes the installation of natural gas pipelines in new residential subdivisions and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company policies. Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall and complete main line connections and fusions in Residential SubdivisionsRead and interpret gas construction drawings to ensure accurate implementationInstall service tees, fittings and tracer wire connectionsConduct pressure testing on main lines and submit necessary documentationComplete live gas tie-insLiaise with gas utility inspectors to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsCollaborate with the site Foreman to plan work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure proper equipment availabilityCoordinate material orders with the natural gas utility to ensure timely availabilityMaintain all gas equipment and ensure calibrations are up to codeDevelop and grow relationships with utility site representativesAssist with training new gas fusion personnelRequirementsATCO Gas Fuser or Apex Utilities Fusion Certification2 years of natural gas pipe fusion work experienceStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindsetStrong commitment to safety protocols and industry complianceBenefitsWe offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee benefits, including a 5% RRSP matching program, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain, and improve your health and wellbeing.
