Our cross-functional teams work collaboratively with Alberta-based businesses and organizations to build AI capacity and translate scientific advancement into industry adoption and economic impact.About the RoleThe Instructional Designer for the Training Team will contribute to the content development process for AI literacy programming. This position is a full-time, permanent position that leverages pedagogical expertise to guide the team of educators in developing high-quality AI and ML content, ensuring it meets accessibility requirements and is tailored to the right audiences at the most impactful times.Reporting to the Product Owner, Training, the Instructional Designer serves as a key member of the Training team and is an active participant in executing Amii's business functions.The position focuses on achieving excellence in three key accountabilities: Learner Success Content Excellence Team Collaboration Required Skills / ExpertiseKey Responsibilities: Ensures the development and maintenance of an optimal learning environment for our clients Supports the development of curriculum that is engaging and centered around the learner's needs, tailored for multiple delivery formats, including blended learning, HyFlex, and micro credential programs Ensures all digital learning content adheres to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards to provide an inclusive learning experience. Applies universal design principles throughout the curriculum development process to create accessible and inclusive learning experiences for all learners Utilizes rapid authoring tools to create high-quality e-learning content Identifies problem-solving approaches in collaboration with team members, contributing to a culture of creative solutions Identifies and implements opportunities to improve efficiency within the Training team, streamlining processes for better performance Contributes to the effective coordination and management of internal tools and resources, ensuring they support both learner success and overall team effectiveness Required Qualifications: Post Secondary Degree in Education, Machine Learning, or related field 3+ years of instructional design experience Experience developing and delivering curriculum; designing effective learning exercises, illustrations of technical concepts, training and evaluation tools Proficient in eLearning systems such as Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), D2L Brightspace Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines Inquisitive, with an interest in and ability to test new educational tools and technologies Attributes and Expectations: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels Ability to identify the needs of stakeholders and create/drive new solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail Demonstrates a positive, group-win approach and a willingness to help, learn, and share Demonstrates adaptability and effectively manages shifting priorities What you'll love about us A professional yet casual work environment that encourages the growth and development of your skills Participate in professional development activ
