We're looking for an Electrical Engineering Co-op Student to join our Regional Engineering team in Sackville for the Summer term. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals, contributing to projects that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our distribution network.As a member of our team, you'll gain practical engineering experience, develop your technical skills, and build a deeper understanding of utility operations while making meaningful contributions to ongoing projects and initiatives.What you'll do:During your work term, you will have the opportunity to:Support the operation, planning, and design of the electrical distribution network.Review customer servicing submissions and fault-level requests.Update underground drawing records and support markup of new revisions.Gather and analyze field data related to distribution assets.Develop an understanding of electrical overcurrent and protective devices used on the distribution network.Collaborate with engineers, technical staff, and operational teams on a variety of projects and initiatives.Gain exposure to utility engineering practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.Safety is a core value at Nova Scotia Power.
