The Zonal Manager will be accountable for financial management and budgeting; human resource management including professional development, human resource planning and performance management activities; functioning as part of the management team to develop, implement and evaluate strategic directions for Medical Imaging services; providing input and recommendations for Medical Imaging services, equipment needs and purchases; as well as Risk Management, Patient safety and quality improvement. The MI manager will ensure that policies, protocols and standards are in place to support evidence informed practice. The manager will provide clinical supervision and support to staff within the program, as well as operational support to program staff at designated sites. The Zonal Manager is also responsible for the monitoring of wait times and developing strategies to ensure that clients receive timely access to health services.The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the key skills, behaviors, abilities and knowledge as outlined in the five domains of the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.Job QualificationsEducationGraduation from a recognized program in:o Medical Radiation Technology,o Diagnostic Medical Sonography, oro Nursing, with demonstrated experience in a Medical Imaging environment.Current registration and licensure in good standing with the applicable professional regulatory body.For Diagnostic Medical Sonography candidates, current membership with Sonography Canada is required.Bachelor?s degree in technology, business, a health-related discipline, or a related field is required.Education and/or certification in Project Management is considered an asset.ExperienceA minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) years working in a multi-disciplinary Medical Imaging department is required.Leadership or management experience in a healthcare environment is considered an asset.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Knowledge of human resources, financial, and operational management principles.Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring, engaging, and supporting staff.Proven collaboration and team-building skills.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Experience with change management and quality or process improvement initiatives.Effective analytical, organizational, and supervisory skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure, diverse, and changing environment.Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and effective resource stewardship.OtherA satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required
