About this role
We are currently seeking an experienced *Welder/Fitter* with high standards of workmanship to join our team in our Elmira, Ontario facility.

*Reports to: *Shop/Production Manager
*Classification:* Full-time, permanent
*Compensation:* $26.00-$36.00 per hour (overtime after 44 hours/week) + health care spending account + pension plan + eligibility for year-end bonus

*Here?s What You?ll Do*:
* Accurately read, analyze and interpret blueprints and drawings * Prepare, assemble and weld pieces of metal and/or structures as per specifications * Use and build various jigs to assemble components * Operate various tools and equipment * Work with sheet metal and perform structural fillet welding * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area * Recognize and understand weld symbols

*What you bring*
* Minimum 3 years? welding experience * Current CWB GMAW Flat ticket, or ability to achieve * Skills in fitting and welding steel structures and sheet metal with strong understanding of welding techniques * Competent with using bandsaw, drill press, ironworker, and various welders * Basic math skills for measurements and calculations * Capable of working under pressure and pushing through challenging rush part scenarios * Strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
