Customer Service Representative (Casual)(Up to 2 Positions)Competition #2026-36 The District of Kent, located in the picturesque Eastern Fraser Valley, is offering several exciting opportunities in our Recreation, Culture & Projects Department. With the upcoming Grand Opening (September 2026) of the Lets?Emot Regional Recreation and Aquatic Centre (LRRAC), we are looking to assemble a dynamic team to deliver exceptional services to our region. This amazing new facility expands our existing recreation centre and features an 8-lane pool, lazy river, steam room, sauna, and hot tub. We are seeking a positive, energetic, self-motivated, and team-oriented Casual Customer Service Representative to join us. Reporting to the Recreation Facilities Clerk, you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from meeting and greeting the public; handling recreation-based questions; assisting with processing manual and/or computerized school, public and user group program, facility bookings and registrations; reconciling cash sheets; and responding to the telephone while assisting others in a busy multi-task environment. Required qualifications: Grade 12, supplemented by administrative courses or other related training and/or experience; General knowledge of the sport, fitness and recreation industry; General knowledge of basic mathematical calculations; Competency in Word, PerfectMind, graphics programs, and website searches is an asset; and Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Pay and benefits for this bargaining unit position is in accordance with the Collective Agreement, CUPE Local 458. The 2025 post-probationary wage rate for this position is $27.11 per hour plus 14% in lieu of all benefits.
