We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and reliable *Dental Hygienist* to join our growing practice. This position offers a minimum of *3 working days per week*, with the opportunity for additional days as our practice continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing. * Take dental radiographs and perform digital intraoral scans. * Conduct oral cancer screenings and document clinical findings. * Administer local anesthesia in accordance with provincial regulations and scope of practice. * Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and individualized home-care recommendations. * Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and treatment documentation. * Collaborate closely with dentists and the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient care. * Support a welcoming, positive, and patient-focused environment.
Qualifications
* Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professions. * Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred; *new graduates are encouraged to apply.* * Knowledge of dental terminology and preventive oral health practices. * Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and procedures is an asset. * Previous experience in a dental office or dental assisting role is considered an advantage. * Experience using *Cleardent* or similar dental practice management software is preferred. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
