Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Pet grooming shop. Tasks: Bathe and shampoo animals. Clip animal coat. Document animal behaviour. Style animal coat. Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures. Conduct anals glands treatment. Keep records of animals treated. Clean animal ears. Provide flea bath treatments to animals. Clip animal nails. Perform expert clipping on show animals with tools including clippers, shears and massage sponges. Perform animal grooming activities . Type of pets groomed: All breeds of dogs. Cats. Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods.
