Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex. Motel. Tasks: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Equipment: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers. Power lawn mowers. Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments). Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning equipment. Snowblower. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication.
