Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines. Type of materials: Aluminum alloys. Stainless steel. Steel, iron and heavy metals. Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG). Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Area of specialization: Custom fabrication. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
