Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints. Clean and prepare surfaces. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound. Prepare wall and ceiling layouts. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
