Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Advise press crew on product specifications or material requirements . Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments. Prepare production schedules. Review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence and quantities required. Fill ink fountains and control colour and viscosity. Plan production methods. Set up press and operate at slow speed to check samples. Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run. Direct press crew to set up, operate and shut down press. Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Perform ongoing machine adjustments. Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met. Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards. Type of press: Flexographic press. Equipment and machinery experience: Pressers. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours.
