Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Esthetician's salon. Beauty shop or aesthetic service. Spa. Tasks: Body care/treatments. Provide general information to customers on beauty products. Advise on beauty products suited to customers' colouring and skin type. Perform exfoliating body treatment. Apply make-up on customers. Apply or remove artificial nails and nail art. Clean, trim and polish nails. Eyebrow tinting. Provide gel and acrylic nail extensions. Apply temporary designs to customer's skin, using electric needles and chemical dyes such as Mendhi (henna). Facials. Provide therapeutic foot massage. Maintain and build own clientele. Provide product demonstrations. Schedule and confirm appointments. Manicures. Pedicures. Relaxation massage. Skin care. Waxing. Eyebrow threading. Eyelash extensions. Provide customer service.
