Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Custom cabinet shop. Millwork shop. Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products. Area of specialization: Cabinets. Kitchen cabinets and vanities. Security and safety: Bondable. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods.
