About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Employer's home. Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties. Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens. Bathe, dress and feed infants and children. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Supervise and care for children. Take children to and from school and to appointments. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: Day. Weekend. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
