Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Work setting: Landscape contractor. Tasks: Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products. Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. Plant and move trees. Tree removal. Operate various vehicles and equipment. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Handling heavy loads.
