Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Underground mines. Tasks: Ensure the safety of the mine by scaling loose rock from walls and roof, drilling and installing rock bolts. Support the mining advancement by extending and installing air and water pipes or operating ore loading machinery. Perform routine maintenance of mining equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Reliability.
