About this role
Deine Mission As a member of our Avionics & Software team in Munich, Germany you will own the spacecraft-level avionics & software domain: from architecture and make/buy choices, through proposal support and supplier management, to implementation leadership (flight software, mode/state machines, data handling, RF/TT&C).<br><br>You will work closely with our Systems Architects, as well as other domains to shape the future spacecraft.<br><br>Your role will include:<br><ul><li>Define platform avionics architecture: OBC, data handling buses (SpaceWire/CAN/100BASE‑T1), time sync (PPS/PTP/1588), mass memory, I/O, power interfaces, RTU strategy</li><li>Own RF/TT&C chain high-level definition (transceiver/TTC units, antennas, link budgets, waveform/SDR choices, ground compatibility)</li><li>Contribute to make/buy decisions on core platform level for OBC, SDR/TT&C, mass memory, DAQ/RTUs, including supplier trade studies, life-cycle & non-recurring impacts, and obsolescence risk</li><li>Set flight software platform direction</li><li>Define and implement mode/state machine architectures, from fluidic systems to orbital vehicles level</li><li>Define interfaces with GNC (data products, timing/latency budgets, execution models) and RPOD logic</li><li>Lead avionics/software sections in proposals: requirements, architecture diagrams, ICDs, work packages, effort & risk, schedule, partner scopes</li><li>Contribute to MBSE models and ways of working</li><li>Define model philosophies for spacecraft platforms</li><li>Support integration and verification activities on subsystem and system level</li><li>Integration & Production support</li><li>Support with other relevant ad-hoc activities.</li></ul> Dein Profil <ul><li>2+ years in spacecraft avionics and software engineering</li><li>Knowledge of avionics elements, RF/TT&C integration, flight SW</li><li>Experience of verification including SiL and HiL</li><li>Basic knowledge of Systems Engineering practices including Requirements Engineering, ICDs; ECSS</li><li>Passion for creating a new spaceflight paradigm (space logistics & orbital refuelling)</li><li>Strong analytical and communication skills</li><li>Accountable with an agile mindset</li><li>Nice to haves:</li><li>RPOD / autonomy exposure</li><li>Fluidic systems sequencing</li></ul> Wir bieten <ul><li>Immediate and flexible start</li><li>Permanent full-time position (40 h/week)</li><li>30 days annual vacation and flexible working hours</li><li>Attractive salary package</li><li>Bike leasing, EGYM Wellpass and subsidy for the Deutschlandticket</li><li>Complimentary beverages, company events, and professional development opportunities</li></ul> Kontakt If you have any questions regarding this position, please contact us at:<br><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>
