About this role

Deine Mission <div style="text-align:justify;">We’re looking for an Electronics Engineer who can take ownership of electronic subsystems end-to-end: translating needs into requirements, designing schematics, validating designs in the lab, and supporting the path toward future qualification-grade hardware.</div><div style="text-align:justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align:justify;"><strong>System design &amp; engineering</strong></div><ul style="list-style-type:square;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Define electronic subsystem concepts and architectures (power tree, interfaces, protection concepts, derating mindset)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Translate system needs into clear hardware requirements and verification objectives (and keep documentation tidy and usable)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Collaborate closely with mechanical, test, and embedded/software teams to ensure smooth system integration</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Schematic design &amp; analysis</strong></div><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Own schematic capture for mixed-signal and power electronics:</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Sensor front-ends (pressure, temperature, position), ADC interfaces, signal conditioning</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Power stages (DC/DC conversion, protection, power distribution, load switching)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Driver stages (solenoids/actuators; motor-control-adjacent circuitry is a plus)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Component selection with attention to availability, reliability, and lifetime</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Simulation &amp; engineering validation</strong></div><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Perform circuit analysis and simulation where appropriate (e.g., SPICE) to de-risk designs</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Worst-case thinking: tolerances, thermal considerations, losses, stability, and protection behavior</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;"><strong>PCB collaboration (guidance, not layout ownership)</strong></div><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Provide layout guidance to the PCB designer (stackup constraints, grounding strategy, return paths, isolation/clearances, test points)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Review layout from an electrical/EMI/signal-integrity perspective (you won’t be the one routing boards)</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Bring-up, testing &amp; verification</strong></div><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Prototype bring-up, debugging, and systematic bench testing</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Define test procedures, capture results, and feed improvements back into the next iteration</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Support the build-up of more advanced test capabilities over time (including future EMI/EMC pre-compliance as the lab evolves)</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Documentation</strong></div><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Maintain clear engineering documentation: requirements, design decisions, schematics/BoM notes, test plans, and test reports</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Contribute to design reviews and milestone documentation</li></ul> Dein Profil <p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Must Have:</strong></p><ul><li style="margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;margin-left:1.5em;padding-left:1em;display:list-item;text-align:justify;">Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Embedded Systems (or equivalent practical experience) </li><li style="margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;margin-left:1.5em;padding-left:1em;display:list-item;text-align:justify;">Strong hands-on background in electronics development and lab testing </li><li style="margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;margin-left:1.5em;padding-left:1em;display:list-item;text-align:justify;">Confident in schematic capture and mixed-signal + power electronics fundamentals </li><li style="margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;margin-left:1.5em;padding-left:1em;display:list-item;text-align:justify;">Electronics Simulation (SPICE/LTspice)</li><li style="margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;margin-left:1.5em;padding-left:1em;display:list-item;text-align:justify;">Comfortable with core lab equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, electronic loads, function generator) </li><li style="margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;margin-left:1.5em;padding-left:1em;display:list-item;text-align:justify;">Structured engineering mindset: requirements → design → verification </li><li style="margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;margin-left:1.5em;padding-left:1em;display:list-item;text-align:justify;">Strong technical English (written and spoken) </li></ul><div style="text-align:justify;"><br></div><strong>Nice-to-have:</strong><br><ul><li>Experience with high-reliability or space-related development (derating, environmental constraints, documentation discipline)</li><li>Motor control / inverter-adjacent hardware experience (gate drivers, current sensing, isolation)</li><li>Familiarity with Altium Designer (or similar), MATLAB/Simulink, Python-based lab automation</li><li>Understanding of EMI/EMC design principles (even if pre-compliance measurements are planned for the future) </li></ul> Wir bieten <ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Real ownership: design decisions that go into actual hardware and systems</p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Fast iterations with strong engineering discipline (no “mystery-meat prototypes”) </p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Close collaboration across electronics, mechanics, and software </p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;">A growing environment where you can help shape processes, documentation, and test infrastructure</p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Permanent full-time position (40 h/week)</p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;">30 days annual vacation and flexible working hours</p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Bike leasing, EGYM Wellpass and subsidy for the Deutschlandticket</p></li><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Complimentary beverages, company events, and professional development opportunities</p></li></ul> Erforderliche Bewerbungsunterlagen Please include in your application:<br><ul><li>Your CV</li><li>2–3 reference projects (e.g. schematics, PCB designs, test setups, failure analyses - anything that demonstrates how you approach engineering challenges and build solutions)</li></ul>
