We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to join our hotel management company who will play a key role in strengthening the finance function of both the hotel management company and the hotel portfolio it manages, and act as a strategic financial partner to the leadership team and shareholders. In this role, you will bring structure to reporting, provide strategic insights and help guide the business through its next phase of expansion. The role This role combines conventional accounting and finance activities with strategic financial insight and analysis for both the hotel management company and its hotel portfolio, making this a true business partnering role. As Senior Financial Controller, you will ensure accurate reporting, maintain governance and compliance, and provide our leadership team and shareholders with clear financial insights to support strategic decision-making.<br><br>Key responsibilities include: <br><br><u>Financial &amp; operational finance</u> <br><ul><li><span><span>Manage month-end closing process</span><span>es </span><span>including accruals </span><span>and </span><span>supporting reconciliations to ensure </span><span>a high level </span><span>of accuracy and compliance.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Manage periodic reporting processes to ensure internal and external stakeholders receive </span><span>accurate </span><span>and meaningful reporting within deadlines including budget vs actual analysis, cashflow projections and </span><span>consolidated </span><span>financial statements in line with IFRS. </span></span></li><li><span><span>Manage annual audit </span><span>process to ensure completion within agreed deadlines</span><span>. </span></span></li><li><span><span>Support with the preparation of annual budgets including presentations to stakeholders to achieve sign off within agreed </span><span>timeframes</span><span>.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Manage payment processes including invoice approval</span><span>s</span><span>, </span><span>coordinating </span><span>payment runs, </span><span>releasing payments in bank accounts and supporting with payroll review and approval. </span></span></li><li><span><span>A</span><span>d-hoc financial analysis</span><span>for</span><span>internal and external stakeholders.</span></span></li></ul><u>Governance, statutory reporting &amp; tax</u> <br><ul><li><span><span>Ensure all group entities </span><span>remain </span><span>compliant with local statutory reporting and filing regulations.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Oversee tax compliance, ensuring filings and payments </span><span>to made within deadlines </span><span>across all entities.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ensure debt and equity structures are correctly implemented and </span><span>maintained</span><span>.</span></span></li></ul><u>Banking &amp; cash management</u> <br><ul><li><span><span>Hold </span><span>key banking relationships</span><span>, </span><span>ensure robust </span><span>internal </span><span>controls </span><span>are implemented </span><span>and </span><span>maintained </span><span>and </span><span>oversee user </span><span>access rights.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ensure </span><span>compliance with external </span><span>facility </span><span>agreements </span><span>and support o</span><span>n </span><span>refinancing activities </span><span>including reviewing interest and fee calculations.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Liquidity management including </span><span>coordinating drawdowns </span><span>and repayments on external debt facilities, shareholder capital calls and distributions and debtor and creditor management</span><span>. </span></span></li></ul><u>Projects &amp; business support</u> <br><ul><li><span><span>Provide support on </span><span>hotel acquisitions and disposals, including </span><span>setting up </span><span>accounting and finance </span><span>systems and processes for new hotel openings and acquisitions and supporting with transition activities for hotel disposals. </span></span></li><li><span><span>Assist </span><span>the development and operations teams </span><span>with finance related aspects of </span><span>hotel refurbishmen</span><span>t</span><span>s </span><span>and </span><span>pre-opening activities.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Review and improve financial processes and controls</span><span>to ensure </span><span>efficienc</span><span>ies </span><span>and </span><span>a high level </span><span>of governance is </span><span>maintained</span><span>.</span></span></li></ul><br><span><span><strong>What we are looking for</strong></span></span><strong><br></strong><ul><li><span><span>A </span><span>proven background </span><span>(10+ years of </span><span>industry </span><span>experience) </span><span>in </span><span>financial and management accounting, </span><span>including </span><span>experience in the hospitality industry</span><span>.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Chartered accountancy qualification </span><span>is </span><span>required</span><span>.</span></span></li><li><span><span>K</span><span>nowledge of both local European GAAP and IFRS </span><span>is </span><span>required</span><span>.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Proficiency </span><span>in Microsoft applications, </span><span>in particular </span><span>Ex</span><span>cel</span><span>.
