Main duties of the job As a Social Worker, you will help change lives for the better by assisting vulnerable people in gaining a brighter future. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team at The Woodmill, Cullompton. Your role includes managing complex caseloads, conducting social care assessments, facilitating group activities, and participating in ICR meetings. You will report to the Safeguarding Lead, manage internal investigations, and liaise with home authorities for admission and discharge processes. Training opportunities are available to support your professional development. This role includes lone working, working closely with MDT members, writing reports, working with families, referring to LADO and Local Authority, educating hospital staff on safeguarding matters, completing annual social care reassessments, and facilitating access to support services.

As a Social Worker you will be:
Lone working Work closely with other MDT members Write and complete statutory reports (CPA, MH) within specified timelines Work with families, creating a therapeutic and professional relationship beneficial to the patient Referring to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments Educating hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services and associated support services Participating in 1:1 supervision To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Social Work degree Experience within a similar environment Experience working with vulnerable adults Where you will be working:

The Woodmill is an 18-bed unit that creates a pathway for patients to step down through their recovery. Ivy is a 6-bed admission area and Rose is a 12-bed rehabilitation area, with the option to flex within the 12-bed area to a four-bed section that can create a further step down with a separate entrance for patients progressing well and preparing for discharge to the community.
The aim of the service is to support women to improve their self-worth, build a better quality of life, and equip them with the skills needed for community living and increased independence.

A Social Work degree, experience within a similar environment, and experience working with vulnerable adults.
