As a valued member of our Bank team, youll step in to support our hospitals catering service when needed helping us provide nutritious meals and great customer service to our patients, visitors, and colleagues. Youll enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that suit your schedule while gaining valuable experience in a welcoming and professional environment.
Main duties of the job
As our Bank Catering Assistant, youll:
Help prepare and serve meals to patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring all dietary needs are met. Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe kitchen environment in line with food hygiene regulations. Support the smooth running of meal services from plating food to restocking supplies and washing up. Serve meals and refreshments with a friendly, caring attitude, making patients feel valued and comfortable. Accurately record patient meal choices and intake, escalating any concerns to clinical teams. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent service and uphold high standards. Every day will be different but your contribution will always matter. Youll help ensure that everyone in our care receives the nourishment, comfort, and attention they deserve.

previous customer service experience (experience in catering or healthcare is a bonus, but not essential), Understands or is willing to learn about food hygiene and health & safety requirements. Communicates well, follows instructions, and works effectively in a team. Brings a positive, adaptable, and caring attitude to their work.
