Job summary
Our GP clinical sessions are 4 hours and 10 minutes in duration. Clinics consist of a mixture of face-to-face and telephone appointments.
Administration time is built into each session to support completion of blood results, repeat prescriptions, correspondence and other clinical duties.
Main duties of the job
Undertaking face-to-face, telephone and online consultations Managing acute and chronic disease presentations Home visits where clinically appropriate or required Reviewing pathology and correspondence Prescribing in accordance with local and national guidance Supporting QOF, enhanced services and quality improvement initiatives Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team Supporting safeguarding, clinical governance and patient safety processes READCODING

Squires Lane Medical Practice is a GP practice based in East Finchley, caring for approximately 5,000 patients.
Our clinical team consists of 2 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists, Paramedics and a highly supportive administrative and reception team. We work collaboratively and pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, approachable and inclusive culture where all staff are valued and supported.
The practice is part of PCN 3 and works closely with neighbouring practices and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for our local population.

Squires Lane Medical Pracitce is seeking locum maternity cover to for a minimum fixed-term period of six months, commencing on 4th September2026.
8 sessions per week / fixed term contract Daily clinical meeting to provide support/answer queries Salary dependent on experience
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Essential Qualified General Practitioner Full GMC registration with licence to practice Included on the NHS England Performers List Evidence of continued professional development and revalidation compliance MRCGP qualification or equivalent
Desirable
Experience using EMIS Web Experience with digital triage and online consultation systems such as AccuRx Experience supporting QOF, enhanced services or population health initiatives
