Job summary
We are a rural practice in Harbury, with a branch surgery in Bishop's Itchington looking to recruit an administrator. The successful applicant will work alongside our GP Partners and the wider practice team, to help us achieve our aim to deliver the high standard of care that our patients deserve. The role includes general administration duties as well as Reception work.
20 hours per week across 5 days, Monday - Friday.
We ask for flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.

Main duties of the job
This varied role involves a variety of tasks, including admin duties relating to medical reports, summarising of medical records and processing movement of medical records. The successful applicant will also be involved in the coding and filing of clinical letters and general administration duties.
Reception cover may be required. This includes liaising with patients and medical colleagues, managing the appointment system, dealing with enquiries either face to face, over the telephone and online consultations and staffing the front desk.
Both roles include other administration duties such as filing and scanning.
Healthcare experience is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication skills and a positive approach to dealing with the public, face to face and over the telephone is key to this role. Good level of IT skills and utilising of various IT systems needed. Flexibility to work outside of your normal working hours to provide holiday and sickness cover is required.

Harbury Surgery is a proactive, progressive and well established practice spread across 2 sites. Our team of 5 GPs, two practice Nurses' and a wider clinical team that includes Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Health and Well Being Practitioners serve almost 6,000 patients. We are also a training practice with a regular team of registrars, medical students and nursing students year round. We all work together to provide a high standard of care to our patients
Our non-clinical team is comprised of the Practice manager, Assistant practice manager, Dispensary manager, care navigator team/admin team, secretary team and dispensary.

GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C or above
