Main duties of the job As the Head of Maintenance at Barchester care home, your primary role is to ensure a clean, well-maintained environment contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for residents and efficient working conditions for staff. Expect a diverse range of tasks involving building, gardens, and grounds maintenance, from plumbing repairs to gardening. Comfort in solo work, team leadership, and assisting in budget planning is essential. You will also coordinate with contractors for tasks beyond your team's expertise. Prioritizing residents' wellbeing is crucial, with experience in property maintenance expected, including at least one trade skill, and ideally, a wide range of maintenance capabilities. Reliability and flexibility in working hours, a full UK driving license, IT skills, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Hands-on experience in property maintenance, at least one trade skill, full UK driving licence, IT literacy, GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
