Main duties of the job
This varied and rewarding role will see you coordinate the day-to-day business of the Collaborative, providing high-quality governance, executive and programme support.
No two days will be the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is passionate about supporting collaborative working across the NHS.You'll be responsible for:
Organising Board and governance meetings. Preparing agendas, reports and Board papers. Taking professional minutes and monitoring actions. Supporting the Medical Director and Deputy Medical Director. Coordinating projects and work programmes. Managing stakeholder communications. Supporting business planning and funding applications. Maintaining governance documentation and risk registers. Working closely with GP practices, Primary Care Networks and NHS partners.

About the Bedford Primary Care Collaborative
The Bedford Primary Care Collaborative has been established to provide a single strategic voice for general practice across Bedford Borough.
Representing all member practices through the four Primary Care Networks (PCNs), the Collaborative works alongside the Bedford Place Team, BLMK Integrated Care Board, community providers and wider partners to shape the future of primary care, improve population health and influence local healthcare strategy.
Hosted by Bedoc Healthcare, the Collaborative supports joint working across practices, develops innovative models of care and ensures general practice has a strong and influential voice within the wider health and care system.
Job Purpose
The Collaborative Manager & Board Secretary is a key role within the Bedford Primary Care Collaborative, providing organisational, governance and programme management support to the Medical Director, Deputy Medical Director and Collaborative Board.
The post holder will coordinate the day-to-day business of the Collaborative, ensuring robust governance arrangements, effective communication, delivery of agreed work programmes and professional administrative support.
Working with multiple stakeholders across primary care and the wider NHS, the post holder will help ensure the Collaborative delivers its objectives while maintaining high standards of governance, accountability and organisational effectiveness.
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance & Board Support
Act as Board Secretary to the Collaborative Board.Coordinate Board meetings and governance meetings.Prepare agendas with the Medical Director and Deputy Medical Director.Produce accurate, professional minutes and maintain action logs.Monitor progress against agreed actions and escalate where appropriate.Maintain governance documentation including:Terms of ReferencePoliciesGovernance registersDecision logsDeclaration of Interests registerCoordinate annual governance reviews.Ensure governance documentation remains current and compliant.Executive Support
Provide executive and administrative support to the Medical Director and Deputy Medical Director, including:
Diary management.Meeting coordination.Preparation of correspondence.Preparation of reports and presentations.Production of Board papers.Drafting briefing papers.Stakeholder communications.Coordination of meetings with external organisations.Programme & Project Management
Support delivery of Collaborative priorities including:

Quality Improvement & Performance
Support the Collaborative to:
