We're looking for a Theatre Practitioner (Scrub) to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham on a Part Time basis. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate theatre team, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care and ensuring every patient receives the best possible experience.

Supported by our Theatre Manager and wider multidisciplinary team, you'll help maintain the high clinical standards our patients expect while continuing to grow your own knowledge and experience.
Main duties of the job
As a Theatre Practitioner, you'll provide safe and effective care throughout the patient's perioperative journey, supporting patients before, during and after surgery.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for preparing theatres and equipment, maintaining a safe clinical environment and delivering high standards of scrub practice across a range of procedures. You'll advocate for patients throughout their care, helping to ensure their dignity, privacy and safety are maintained at all times.
You'll contribute to the smooth running of theatre lists, support infection prevention practices and ensure accurate documentation and stock management. You'll also work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and colleagues across the hospital to deliver an efficient and positive patient experience.
As an experienced member of the team, you'll support the development of colleagues, participate in audits and quality improvement activities, and contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical governance and patient care.
You'll have opportunities to broaden your skills, take on additional responsibilities and play an active role in the continued development of our theatre services.
About us
Has experience working as a Scrub Practitioner across a range of surgical procedures with appropriate registration Demonstrates excellent clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centred care. Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues and patients. Is committed to ongoing professional development and learning new skills. Takes a positive, flexible approach to supporting the needs of the service. Experience in orthopaedics or major joint replacement surgery would be advantageous, although not essential.
