Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and patient focused Pharmacy Technician to join our PCN Pharmacy team at Lister House Surgery.
You will play a important role in supporting safe and effective prescribing, managing medication queries, and working collaboratively across the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Main duties of the job
Work as a part of the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and cost-efficient prescribing, including managing medication queries.Support repeat prescribing, reduce medicine waste, and inappropriate poly-pharmacy.Manage medicines reconciliation following hospital discharges and clinical correspondenceAssist with medication safety, including MHRA alerts, drug monitoring, and managing medicine shortages.Liaise with community and hospital pharmacy teams to resolve medication-related issues promptly.Support medication audits, care home medicines management, and implementation of NICE and other evidence based guidelines.Assist Clinical Pharmacists with medication reviews, patient education, and health promotion.Maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to practice protocols, and ensure compliance with practice procedures.Provide training, mentoring, and education for pharmacy administrators, clinical staff, patients, and carers.Represent the pharmacy team at relevant meetings and participate in the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway.

Experience Essential
Audit and quality improvement Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) Experience of working to Standard Operating Procedures
