Job summary
We are seeking a highly organised person to create and maintain the rotas for the clinical team within the practice.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage rotas for clinical staff. Set up appointment types, rota templates for the appointment system. To apply rota templates on the system to ensure appointments for all clinical teams. To be applied in accordance with the National GP Appointment Categories. Coordinate appointment slots and/or clinics where a GP or ANP may need support from an HCA and/or a treatment room nurse for minor ops, coil fits, implant fitting etc. Take account of annual leave and general staff availability, amend slot types depending on demand to optimise patient access. Review clinics regularly to identify any issues, review access and availability, ensure all students, trainees, pharmacists have an assigned clinician for debriefs, ensure debriefing clinician has the correct dedicated time blocked out, rotas have not been amended and continue to match the master rotas. Plan inductions for new clinical staff and trainee placements Plan protected learning time and tutorials for GP Trainees Liaise with the administrator responsible for clinical room rotas to identify if any issues with room availability Monitor effectiveness of the system and report any problems or variations required. Look at locum or other staff covering in the event of clinical staff shortages long-term sickness, maternity leave etc, ensuring that GP locum cover for absence is arranged.
