Main Responsibilities Carrying out high-quality School Based Assessments, as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) for children and young people Assess and provide tailored advice and interventions for children with diverse needs. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with families and carers. Recommend and support the use of specialist equipment for home and school settings. Liaise with professionals across health, education, social care, and voluntary sectors to ensure comprehensive care. Provide sensitive and effective communication with children and their families, adapting to their needs and circumstances. Contribute to team performance targets and participate in supervision, training, and team meetings. Assist with prioritising treatment goals for children with complex needs or terminal illnesses, ensuring appropriate discharge planning and referralsThe Ideal Candidate Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration Knowledge or training in ASD strategies/interventions (e.g. PECS, SCERTS, ADOS) Evidence of post-graduate training or equivalent experience in: Child development ASD, ADHD, neurodevelopmental conditions Experience working with children in a similar paediatric setting Confidence in using a variety of assessments and treatment approachesDesirable Membership of BAOT Membership of a Special Interest Group Clinical Educator qualification Experience delivering community-based childrens OT servicesOther requirements: the successful applicant will need to be a car driver
