Job summary
We require a friendly and enthusiastic Dispenser to join our team at Pershore Medical Practice. The role is maternity cover for 1 year fixed term working 29 hours a week Monday - Friday - hours to be confirmed.

Main duties of the job
Dispensing Duties
To process all relevant prescriptions as authorised by the practice doctors, nurse prescribers and pharmacists.
To issue repeat prescriptions safely and in a timely manner.
To ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription
Dispense and record private prescriptions
Receive, record and dispense repeat medication requests including entering and extracting information from the computer
To undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient dispensing service
Ensure the dispensary area remains clean and tidy at all times
The dispenser must be prepared to undertake any necessary training to ensure that he/she has the necessary skills and competence required.

We are located in the heart of the market town of Pershore, on Queen Elizabeth Drive. The building provides modern consulting and examination rooms and also includes Pershore Community Hospital and community clinic provided by Worcestershire Health and Care Trust.

The practice has 11 GPs, 2 GP Registrars, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Specialist Practice Nurses, 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 3 Pharmacy Technicians, 2 Healthcare Assistants and 1 Phlebotomist.
