Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) is committed to providing mental health services to align with the requirements in Welsh Government policy.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Community Mental Health Team to undertake the role of the Administration Support Officer within a busy multi-disciplinary team
The post holder will require excellent communication skills, liaising with patients and clinicians over multiple channels i.e. telephone, email.
The post holder will work positively and flexibly to support the needs of the service, be motivated, ready for the next challenge and enjoy working as part of a very busy team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
Main duties of the job
o Provide a comprehensive clerical, administrative and secretarial support service.o Communicate and exchange complex, sensitive information across the organisation both internally and externally, usingtact and persuasive skills and demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidentialinformation.o Responsible for organising meetings, preparing papers and taking minutes.

Qualifications and Knowledge Essential
NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or relevant experience Experience of using computer-based management information systems Experience and an ability to prepare detailed reports Experience of using computer software programmes
Desirable
Experience of working in an environment where both tact and diplomacy has had to be used Knowledge of the structure and operation of the Health Board
Experience Essential
Advanced Keyboard Skills equivalent to RSA 2/3 Excellent communicator at all levels within and outside an organisation including an ability to communicate effectively with patients and members of the public
Skills and Attributes Essential
