Job summary

This is an exciting time to join our 0-19 Service as we embark on a significant period of transformation designed to strengthen outcomes for children, young people, and families. We are looking for a passionate, inspirational Matron who can bring strong clinical leadership, drive quality improvement, and champion excellence across our teams.

You will be an experienced senior clinician with a proven track record of leadership within children's services. You will bring:

Main duties of the job

As Matron for the 0-19 Service, you will provide visible, compassionate leadership and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality care. You will work closely with operational and clinical colleagues to shape services, embed new ways of working, and support our workforce through change.

You will:

Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams across the 0-19 pathway

Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement and innovation

Ensure robust clinical governance and high standards of care

Support workforce development, wellbeing, and professional growth

Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

Champion the voice of children, young people, and families in service design

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Experience in a leadership role SCPHN qualification in Health Visiting or School Nursing Masters qualification or working towards Masters

Desirable

Knowledge of revised HCP Experience in being involved in a quality improvement project Passion for Transformation
