Main duties of the job The position of Support Worker at Enable involves engaging with young individuals to provide positive, person-centered care for those with complex support needs. Your role will include supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, and complex needs. Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
Communicating - effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods
Engaging -promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
