Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and committed Registered Manager to take the lead at our CQC-registered Widmore Road Learning Disability respite service. In this pivotal role, you will shape the direction of the service, driving a culture of excellence and empowering your team to deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care. Working closely with the London Learning Disability Locality Manager, youll have the autonomy to lead, innovate, and continuously improve the serviceensuring it remains safe, effective, and truly responsive to the needs of the people we support. Your key responsibilities include: Delivering Outstanding Care: Ensuring individuals receive personalised support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion, with care plans that reflect their evolving needs. Driving Quality & Compliance: Overseeing CQC registration and ensuring the Widmore Road service meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintaining safe, effective, and well-led services at all times.

Main duties of the job The job entails taking the lead in a CQC-registered Learning Disability respite service at Widmore Road. The Registered Manager will shape the direction of the service by fostering a culture of excellence. Key responsibilities include delivering outstanding care by ensuring individuals receive personalized support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion. The role involves working closely with the London Learning Disability Locality Manager to maintain a safe, effective, and responsive service. The Registered Manager will oversee CQC registration, ensuring the service meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, while providing day-to-day leadership to staff, managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints.

Leading & Developing TeamsProviding day-to-day leadership to the staff team, ensuring effective management, clear direction, and ongoing support to maintain high standards of care and support delivery. Ensuring AccountabilityManaging safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints, while working closely with the Locality Manager to drive continuous improvement and ensure ongoing compliance across the service.What Were Looking For: Previous experience as a Registered Manager is highly desirable. Demonstrable experience of working within a respite service, ideally within the Learning Disability sector. Strong understanding of the adult social care sector and relevant regulatory frameworks, including CQC requirements. Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to effectively oversee a service and staff team. Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills. A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Previous experience as a Registered Manager is highly desirable. Demonstrable experience of working within a respite service, ideally within the Learning Disability sector. Strong understanding of the adult social care sector and relevant regulatory frameworks, including CQC requirements. Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to effectively oversee a service and staff team. Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills. A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service. A minimum of 12 months remaining on your Right to work in the UK.
