Job summary
HUCCLECOTE SURGERY requires a dynamic and pro-active Patient Advisor to join their established and motivated reception team.
Working hours are fixed - Wednesday to Friday: 1.30pm to 6.30pm
The candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, customer service and organisational skills, together with the ability to work well under pressure whilst juggling a varied and busy workload.
We are willing to train and develop the right candidate and over the years staff have been developed and promoted to other positions within the practice. We believe our staff are important and the management team are very supportive.
Starting salary will be dependent on experience, rising after completion of a successful 6-month probation period. 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata) and membership to the NHS pension scheme.
Candiadtes must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs level 9-4 including English Language and Mathematics.
Main duties of the job
The role involves (but is not limited to):
Providing front of house customer service to all stakeholders in a professional and friendly manner;Answering, screening and navigating incoming telephone calls;Providing accurate information to all stakeholders and signposting accordingly;Booking of appointments;Administration of prescription requests and enquiries;Administration pf patient related tasks;Registration of new patientsDeduction of patientsOpening and distributing post;Scanning of documents;Closing date is mid-night on Sunday 26 June 2026 with interviews taking place in person at Hucclecote Surgery in early August.

Qualifications Essential
5 GCSEs (level 9-4) or equivalent including Mathematics and English Language.
