Job summary

The People Advisor Transformation role represents a pivotal opportunity to shape and strengthen the Trusts future operating model at a time of significant organisational evolution. Over the next 12 months, this position will play a central part in modernising how our People function supports colleagues, leaders, and services ensuring we are equipped to meet the changing needs of our workforce and the communities we serve.

Main duties of the job

As we transition toward a more agile, digitally enabled, and person centred People service, the People Advisor Transformation post will help embed new ways of working, streamline processes, and enhance the consistency and quality of People advice across the Trust. This role will work collaboratively with operational leaders, HR specialists, and transformation partners to ensure that our future model is not only efficient and sustainable, but also grounded in compassion, clarity, and a commitment to improving staff experience.

Job description Job responsibilities

The People Advisor Transformation role is a key 12 month fixed term opportunity designed to support the Trust as it transitions toward a more modern, agile, and future operating model. At a time when our services, workforce expectations, and organisational priorities are evolving, this role will help ensure that our People function is equipped to deliver consistent, high quality, and compassionate support across all areas of the Trust.

Working closely with the People Business Partner and Associate People Business Partner, the postholder will play an active role in shaping and embedding new advisory approaches, strengthening People processes, and supporting leaders through change. This collaborative partnership will be central to aligning day to day People advice with the Trusts wider strategic direction ensuring that operational needs, workforce planning, and cultural priorities are fully integrated into the future operating model.

The People Advisor Transformation will contribute to redesigning workflows, improving case management consistency, and enhancing the accessibility of People support for managers and staff. By helping to implement new structures, digital tools, and streamlined practices, the role will support the Trust in building a more responsive, efficient, and person centred People service.

Ultimately, this role will be instrumental in supporting the Trust to deliver outstanding care through its people strengthening organisational capability, improving staff experience, and ensuring our People function is ready to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Associate Diploma in People Management (Level 5) or equivalent qualification or equivalent level of experience Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Demonstration of Continued Professional Development

Experience Essential

Demonstrate a range of generalist HR knowledge and experience Experience of interpreting and advising on terms and conditions, policies and procedures Experience of providing advice and support to managers on HR related concerns including absence management, disciplinary, grievance. Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and good employment practice. Experience of using Microsoft Excel or similar to provide reports or to interpret data

Desirable

NHS or public sector experience Experience of using NHS systems including Electronic Staff Record Knowledge of the NHS Terms and Conditions Handbook Experience of employee relations gained within a unionised environment Experience of using and extracting information from HR Databases
