About us Queensway Hospital is a Mental Health service in association with the Ellern Mede Group
We provide individualised, person-centred care for our patients. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaborates with patients, families, and professionals to enhance mental health and wellbeing. Care is delivered across the spacious Elizabeth Ward, with Elizabeth Lower downstairs and Elizabeth Upper upstairs.

The job holder is required to work effectively within the MDT and hold strong risk management and safeguarding knowledge/skills.
Excellent working knowledge of the mental health act 1983/2007 as well as other statutory legislation such as childrens act 1989, care act 2014, child protection, protection of vulnerable adults and multi-agency public protection arrangements is required.Experience of working young adults within a mental health setting is advantageous.
The role is within an inpatient service but liaison with community teams and understanding of community mental health services is vital.Safeguarding

Qualifications Essential
Essential criteria
Degree in social work Good knowledge of MHA 1983/2007 Knowledge of care management Must be registered with the HCP
Experience Essential
Ability to undertake needs led assessments, care planning, reviewing. Multi-disciplinary team work Social services experience Working within a mental health team Working within care programme approach and risk assessment guidelines

Discharge procedures, awareness of risk assessments
