We are recruiting two Salaried General Practitioners to join our expanding team, with opportunities based in Oldham and North Manchester. As a collaborative group of practices, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while embracing innovation, digital transformation and new models of general practice.

This is a varied and rewarding role, combining face-to-face consultations, home visits and sessions within our Digital Triage Hub, where you will help deliver timely, efficient access to care and support the ongoing development of modern primary care services.

You'll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, including established GP Trainers, within a supportive organisation that values collaboration, clinical excellence and professional development. As we continue to grow, we have ambitious plans to expand our GP training programme and develop the next generation of General Practitioners. Main duties of the job

As a Salaried General Practitioner within our group, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while contributing to the continued development of modern general practice.

The role offers variety and flexibility, combining traditional face-to-face clinical sessions with digital-first care through our Digital Triage Hub. You will assess and manage a wide range of patient presentations, provide clinical decision-making and support timely access to care across our practices.

You will work collaboratively with GPs, ARRS colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership, supervision and support where appropriate, including contributing to the development of our wider workforce.

The role includes responsibility for providing safe and effective patient care through consultations, telephone reviews, digital triage, home visits and appropriate follow-up. You will contribute to quality improvement, service development and the ongoing evolution of care pathways across our organisation.

Job Summary

The post-holder will manage a varied clinical caseload and provide high-quality, safe and effective primary care services to registered patients across our group of practices.

The successful candidate will deliver care through a combination of:

Digital triage and remote consultations

Face-to-face surgery clinics

Telephone consultations

Home visits

Clinical administration and follow-up

The post-holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering excellent patient care and continually improving access and outcomes.

Clinical Responsibilities

In accordance with the agreed job plan, the post-holder will undertake a range of clinical duties including:

Providing face-to-face consultations for patients.

Acting as Duty Doctor for the Digital Triage Hub on agreed sessions, providing clinical leadership, supervision and oversight for the triage process.

Participating in our Digital Triage Hub, assessing patients and directing care through digital and telephone consultations where appropriate.

Providing clinical supervision and support to ARRS colleagues and other clinical staff within their scope of practice.

Undertaking telephone consultations and responding to patient queries.

Carrying out home visits when clinically required.

Assessing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.

Making autonomous clinical decisions based on presenting problems.

Developing and implementing evidence-based management plans.

Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.

Providing health promotion, preventative care, counselling and patient education.

Referring patients appropriately to secondary care and community services.

Admitting and discharging patients from the practice caseload where appropriate.

Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous clinical records.

Collecting data for audit and quality improvement.

Reviewing, authorising and signing repeat prescriptions.

Prescribing safely in accordance with local and national prescribing guidance.

Managing clinical correspondence, investigations and administrative workload in a timely manner.

Undertaking all duties expected of a General Practitioner working within primary care.
