Job summary
We are looking for a Locum Community Mental Health Practitioner to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at RAF Digby DCMH, in Ashby De La Launade, Lincolnshire.
This is a locum role (37.5 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.
Pay rates:
PAYE £26.64 per hour
Umbrella - £30.64 per hour
Main duties of the job
Manage a caseload of complex cases in line with the experience and specialist knowledge held. Carry out complex mental health assessments and subsequent reviews for personnel referred to the DCMH. To have continued responsibility for an identified case load by reviewing client needs by providing flexible and individualised care packages to meet the mental health needs of military personnel with mental health problems. To maintain contemporaneous accurate electronic records and clinical notes of all client contact. To provide reports to and maintain liaison with Medical Officers (MOs), General Practitioners and other relevant professional agencies. To participate in and provide clinical supervision and caseload management for more junior mental health clinicians. To provide supervision for secondary and tertiary clinical interventions. To be an integral part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and participate in departmental clinical and business meetings and take the lead in initiatives as directed by the Network or Team Manager. To recognise limits of competence and seek clinical supervision and/or advice as appropriate. To have an in-depth knowledge of Health Governance (HG) and the ability to lead on specific domains as directed by the HG lead. To deliver up to date, evidence-based interventions for mental health problems based on guidance from the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the National Treatment Agency (NTA).

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Must have 3 years experience in a Mental Health Role delivering therapy. Demonstrable experience of working as a graduate level professional in adult mental health. Experience of working in adult community mental health. Experience of service and/or line management responsibility. Must be in date for Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and be able to provide certification. Must hold current, valid personal medical indemnity insurance. Must be in date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.
Qualifications Essential
Must either: 1.Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registration as an occupational therapist or practitioner psychologist or Social Work England Registered Social Worker with Post-graduate training and accreditation in National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) recognised modality for common mental disorders (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Counselling for Depression etc). or 2.Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Mental Health Nurse with Post-graduate training and accreditation in NICE recognised modality for common mental disorders (e.g. CBT, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Counselling for Depression etc). or 3.United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered psychotherapist with post-graduate training and accreditation in NICE recognised modality for common mental disorders (e.g. CBT, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Counselling for Depression etc).
