About this role
The Journey Tool & Die Maker II is responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machines, including Wire EDM equipment, and performing tool grinding and sharpening as needed. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents, manufacture fixtures, jaws, specialty gauges, shop parts, and cutting tools, and inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment. Strong math and computer skills are required, along with the ability to assist in training employees in Labor Grades 5F–10F. A Journeyman Card is not required; however, 1.5 to 2.5 years of tool room experience is necessary.
